We the People

I am sure you have heard that Trump is destroying our democracy. And if it is not Trump, then it is the result of what Trump has or is doing. The Supreme Court is also destroying our democracy. And of course, the Republicans are destroying our democracy.

Our democracy is a creation of the Left and those who hate our country and what it once stood for. For we were never a democracy! Gradually our leaders have been morphing our Republic into a democracy. Democracy amounts to mob rule and those calling for a democracy are mob leaders. Trump has put the process of destroying our Republic on hold and they hate him for it.

We are a Republic, but not simply a republic. Some on the right we saying that we are a democratic republic, but that is not actually true. The United States of America was created as a Constitutional Republic. More precisely, our Constitution was constructed as a covenant, following the covenantal pattern presented by God to the Children of Israel at Mount Sinai. The Pilgrims intentionally follow that pattern with the Mayflower Compact. As more settlers came and the colonies were formed the leaders set up similar covenants.

The Protestant Christians that birthed our nation rejected the Roman style of republic that had infested the Roman Church. They intently followed the Biblical pattern for a free society as presented at Mount Sinai. Unlike previous republics that are governed by princes, barons or parliaments, the United States was to be governed by laws that were based upon Biblical morality. As already laid out in our Declaration of Independence, our laws could not usurp the rights granted to us by our Creator. And most importantly our Constitution was designed and presented as a covenant.

The preamble of the Constitution begins: We the People …, and then it was signed by our representatives.  The intention was that we the people would be all in agreement that these laws would govern us. It was this set of laws that unified all the people of the United States regardless of rank or ethnicity (all men are created equal). Believe it or not, this is what defined us as Americans for almost four hundred years. It is the foundation of self-government. It began before the Pilgrims left their ship and set foot on American soil and now is under attack from those who have most benefited from it. It is what made the American Dream possible.

It was our Constitutional law that united us and made our government work, not the diversity of our American citizenship. The separation of powers into three branches was established to protect our Constitutional law from usurpers. Underlining all of this is the foundation that made it all possible, the Law of God: God’s set of standards that dignifies the worth of each individual.

Presently our Constitutional Republic is being fractured by those who are attempting to bypass the processes laid out in our Constitution. That is why it is so important that we again treat the Constitution as the covenant agreement was presented as. We the People … were represented by the signers of the agreement. And then it was ratified by all of the States. As each new state was added, each one accepted this agreement with the understanding that they would abide by it. And the agreement has not changed except for additions to the amendments. So, all are obligated to abide according to this covenant agreement.

Has our citizenship all forgotten that this was a binding covenant between each and every citizen? Have we forgotten the role that God had in establishing this covenant? Our founders acknowledged God role and blessing in the founding of our nation. They considered our covenant to be a binding agreement with God and one another. Not that long ago all of our children were asked to pledge allegiance to this agreement.

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

The President and those who take federal offices take an oath and swear to defend the Constitution of the United States. For the Constitution is the covenant agreement we have one with another and God. Without the Constitutional covenant we lack anything that we all have in common to bind us together as a nation. It is because we have failed to educate our population about our form of government that we are now reeling without direction. Instead, our educators have been indoctrinating our children with false information, undermining our once solid foundation. The goal of the indoctrination is to destroy our Constitutional Republic and replace it with some form of democracy, which will lead to socialism, which requires a ruling class or ruler.

Citizenship

Without our Constitutional Covenant, who or what are we? It was the freedom that was experienced by people governed by Covenant Agreements that first defined us as Americans. And later it was what defined us as Citizens of the United States of America. We were free from kings and tyrant yet able to maintain law and order because we had a defined law that we were governed by. By having one Law for every individual, we eliminated differing classes of people. Liberty and justice for all cannot be achieved without a single standard for every individual. The Constitution was that Law and it was also necessary that each individual accept and respect that Law. If or when people fail to live up to this covenant agreement, then the system fails and the country becomes fractured. The result will end up with either rulers and tyrants or anarchy.

We have been dying a slow death for a long time because we as a nation have not taught our children the price of freedom. Self-government without self-disciple does not work. And we have failed to pass on the foundational principle of our Constitutional Republic. We have survived this long because some of these principles and Biblical morality have been baked into our culture. Even to this day those emigrants who become citizens are require to learn the principles, history, and our unique form of government. Then they are required to come into covenant agreement with our founders by accepting the Constitution as the ruling Law.

But we now have three generations of people who are ignorant of how we have become a great nation. They have lost their concept of what true citizenship entails or why United States Citizenship even matters. They have no idea how valuable and beneficial United States Citizenship should be. And how could they, when they see our government bestowing benefits upon criminals and non-citizens beyond what they receive as citizens? We have all witnessed a orchestrated invasion of millions of people into our country who have been lured here with promises of benefits without cost or requirements. Meanwhile the actual citizens are beginning to realize that that the cost to them is the loss of their inheritance.

Citizenship Rights

The supporters of the invasion of illegal immigrants would declare that all of us in the United States are immigrants. This false application of the word immigrant would imply that everyone everywhere in the world is an immigrant. For in everyone’s past their ancestors migrated to where they now live. The fact is that you would be hard pressed to find any people group that lay claim to the land they live on that are the clear descendants of the first people to claim that land.

An immigrant is someone who is migrating to a new location. In our world today all the land is claimed by a Country or Tribe. An immigrant is usually someone who wishes to make their new location their permanent home. The goal of these people is to eventually become a citizen of their country of choice. In my case both of my parents are descendants of immigrants who came here, made this their home, and became US citizens.

There is another category of people who never obtain permanent status but have temporary status to live and work here, but we are not talking about these people.

Once a person obtains citizenship status, they are no longer an immigrant, but are in fact a United States citizen with full rights and responsibility. And as I have been pointing out, our citizenship is based upon a covenant agreement in the form of a Constitution. All those immigrants who become citizens swear to uphold the Laws of the United States as outlined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

With citizenship comes rights and responsibilities. Should we fail to uphold our responsibilities to live according to our covenant agreement, then we will lose our rights as citizens, and justly so. But the problems we are now facing in a distinctly divided America are simply because many of our citizens are unwilling to live under our covenant agreement. They ignore the fact that it is this agreement that has allowed American to prosper and be recipient of the blessing of Heaven. Our Constitution was intended to protect our rights that were granted to us by God. The freedoms and rights sealed in our Constitution are being eroded by those who through democracy (mob rule) are attempting to dismantle our Covenant by granting Citizenship rights to immigrants and strangers who do not share the Biblical moral values this Country was founded upon. Granting rights without responsibility will in the short term destroy everything that has been good about the United States of America.

Failure to Embrace the True Vision

America was built upon the Biblical vision reveal at Mount Sinai that God gave us as pattern for a good government. Freedom from slavery required only that you respect your Creator and the rights and dignity of those created in God’s image. But because of our inherited rebellious nature it was necessary that we covenant with God to govern ourselves, embracing the Law of God that is outlined with ten simple commandments.

This was the vision that formed our covenant style government handed down to us through the efforts of the Pilgrims to our founders. That vision produced American exceptionalism and prosperity beyond the Pilgrim’s fondest dreams. Our success inspired people all over the world to overthrow kings and rules and attempt self-governance. The problem was that the pattern was distorted and the most important elements were left out. Democracy was the word that was spoken and the structures that were created lacked the wisdom of God. Democracies lack stability for lack of a solid foundation. In short, the kings were replaced with dictators and rulers as people were moved by promises from people who could not fulfill them. Like the waves of a sea, democracies oscillate back and forth and we now find the world being lured into globalism which will bring everyone into the bondage of slavery.

America which was built upon the moral foundation of God’s Law and a citizenship of people in covenant agreement, is now standing alone and wavering. The rule of Law is buckling under pressure to democratize and over-rule the moral convictions of a godly people. We are indeed in peril because we failed to educate our children about our history. All that is holding us together at this point are the safeguards our founders put in place making it difficult to change and amend our Constitutional Covenant.

God save us from the Democratizers. Unless Americans wake up our Country is going to collapse.
